The PowerSurf Story

Born on the Water.
Built for Speed.

The Question That Started It All

It started on a flat-water lake in the Netherlands on a windless summer afternoon. Two engineers — frustrated by the dependence of traditional surfing on ocean conditions and geography — asked a single question: why do you need waves to surf?

That question became an obsession. Founded in 2022, the company set out to build the world's most capable commercial motorized surfboard — through years of research, prototype iterations, material testing, and thousands of kilometers of water testing across Europe.

The Vision

The founding vision was straightforward: build the world's most capable, most accessible motorized surfboard. Not a toy for thrill-seekers. Not a niche product for professionals. A precision-engineered watercraft that any person, anywhere in the world, could step onto and experience the pure freedom of riding fast on water.

Every component — from the carbon fiber hull to the military-grade impeller — was selected to be the best available option for its purpose. The result is a board that weighs just 20.5 kilograms yet withstands the full force of high-speed water impact at 62 km/h.

The Development Journey

The first prototype was built in a workshop outside Amsterdam. It worked — just barely. The hull geometry was wrong, the engine placement created instability above 30 km/h, and the carbon layup wasn't optimized for torsional load. The team went back to the drawing board.

Over the next two years, eighteen distinct prototype iterations were tested across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. The hydrodynamic mono-hull design was refined using computational fluid dynamics software. The final design went through six months of endurance testing before production approval was granted.

The Passion Behind the Product

What drives the PowerSurf team is not a commercial calculation. It's a genuine, deep love of water and speed. Every person involved in building this board has ridden the PowerSurf. Every person on the team could tell you exactly what it feels like when the board planes at 50 km/h and the spray fans out behind you.

Distribution & Reach

PowerSurf is available across Europe through Bataviastore.com, operating from Staphorst, Netherlands. Free shipping is provided to customers throughout the European Union, with delivery typically completed within 14 business days.

Every board ships with a comprehensive user manual, safety equipment checklist, and full 1-year manufacturer warranty. Customer support is available via email and telephone.
